    I am trying to determine if I can deduct travel from home to rinks as a self-employed individual (independent contractor).

    I coach ice hockey as an independent contractor. I drive from my residence to the rink each day. I am trying to determine if I am eligible to deduct the distance/gas associated with driving with my business expenses.

    No. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) considers driving back and forth between home and work as personal use.
