I moved for work in 2018 & entered moving expenses. When I then enter net income related to new location, my refund more than doubles. This does not seem right.

I moved for work in 2018 & entered moving expenses. When I then enter net income related to new location, my refund more than doubles. This does not seem right.
Moving expenses aren't deducted until you enter the amount of employment income you had at the new location. This is why your refund took a jump once you entered that figure. Moving expenses are only deducted from the income at the new location, not the pre-move income.
