If I purchased a laptop for personal and business use, how do I properly calculate the amount to claim, and how do I properly insert that into the TurboTax form?

I know roughly how many hours I use it for work in a given week, but I'm not sure whether to use the work percentage to calculate the total cost, or if I use that percentage against my allowable CCA claim amount.

You would pro-rate the total cost. So if you use it 50% for work and 50% for personal use, then only enter 50% of the cost.

It would also be a good idea to keep some kind of record of how much you use the computer for business use, just in case the CRA asks.
