Must I buy the premier version for 2015 even though I used to buy the standard version to do my taxes which include sale of stocks with no T-slips? (not online version)

I see some forum answers stating that I must upgrade to premiere for tax returns with stock sales and no t slips

If, as your sign in suggests, you have the installed standard version, you should have no problems.  If you are actually using the online version, you will need to upgrade to premier.
