Need help to fill in T4RIF section on line 115, 208 & 240.

If you are directly transferring funds from RRIF account to another or to an RRSP account, you report the direct transfer in Line 20800 and 23200;

  1. Using TurboTax Online:
    • Report your T4RIF income under the T4RIF slip which you can search in the Find engine on the top bar
    • Report the income in Box 16 and answer Yes to "Rec'd due to spouse's death"
    • Report the direct transfer amounts to your RRSP and RRIF accounts in Boxes 24 at the bottom of the slip
    • You will have to report the RRSP transfer under the RRSP contribution profile again to be able to see it on Line 20800
    • Do not report your RRSP deduction limit
  2. Using TurboTax Desktop/Download:
    • Report your T4RIF income under the T4RIF slip which you can search in the Find engine on the top bar
    • Report the income in Box 16 and answer Yes to "Rec'd due to spouse's death"
    • Report the Transfers under the RRSP profile as RRSP contribution and Designated transfer
    • Report the Transfer to the RIFF account under the other deduction profile
    • Do not report your RRSP deduction limit

I hope this was helpful
