Can I claim moving expenses for medical reasons, had cancer and moved to be closer to family for care while recovering.

While not working and on a disability I moved to be closer to family during these uncertain times. Surely there is a tax break for that?

Yes, you can claim moving expenses for medical expenses if the moving expenses are to move a person who has severe & prolonged mobility impairment to housing that is more accessible to the person (limit $2000). If you'd like to know more about what qualifies as a medical expense, here is a great article by TurboTax.
