I'm curious as to why it wants me to upgrade to Deluxe if I enter T5 Investment Interest then? I've seen in other posts that as of 2023, T5 Investment Interest and Investment Income can't be claimed using the free online TurboTax, I would need the "Premium" or "Self Employed" version. Are you saying that if I purchase the "TurboTax Standard Online" package from a retailer, I would be able to file up to 8 returns that include T5 submissions? Or would I need to purchase the "TurboTax Deluxe Online", or "Premium"? It is really hard to figure out the difference between all of the different versions. The official site only talks about the online versions where you pay per return, but not the retail versions. Could you please clarify? Thank you.
If you have any investments to claim, you will need to upgrade to the Premier version of TurboTax. Even if you have already purchased the TurboTax Deluxe Online version from a retailer, you will still need to upgrade to the Premier version for any returns that involve T5 investments.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
