What class is a kitchen renovation? I think it’s class 8. What do you think?

I would put it as class 1. Buildings, additions, and alterations, such as plumbing, lighting, heating, and air conditioning.

If you replaced appliances- they would go into class 8.

Class 8 is Furniture, appliances, cell phones, and data network infrastructure equipment that doesn’t fall under another class.
