Can both my husband and I claim tuition transfer amounts from our 2 children in post-secondary programs?
As per the CRA: Any remaining credit calculated on Schedule 11 by a student can be transferred to one of the following individuals. Only one person can claim this transfer from the student.
If you have 2 children then you will need to decide which person will claim tuition transfer from which child. It does not need to be the same person from year to year. The student cannot transfer any amount they carried forward in a previous year.
