What amounts are included in Box 40 in my T4? My company shares in m RRSP coontibtion. Do I get a receipt from the issuing company?
Box 40 of the T4 could include many different "other taxable allowances and benefits" that are already reported in Box 14.
If your employer makes a contribution to an RRSP on your behalf, you will still receive an RRSP Contribution Receipt issued in your name and claim it on your tax return.
Do not confuse this with a Registered Pension Plan contribution which will be shown on Box 20 of your T4 slip.
