The summary does not always reflect amounts transfer to spouse correctly. I suggest you print your tax return in PDF format. You will be able to open the PDF file and consult your forms and schedules to make sure the information is entered correctly.
If the problem persists after performing the above checks, please contact a TurboTax specialist who will be better able to assist you in correcting this issue or escalate to a higher level for resolution if needed.
I had the same problem. Turned out the autoentry had registered the amount already and when I entered the RL2 it added the two- needed to delete the amt on the RL2 and just leave the deducted income tax and all worked out.
One of us (we are a couple) ran into this last year (tax year 2020) and ended up having to delete the entire return and reenter it under the guidance of a TurboTax support person/tax expert.
Annoyingly it has happened again this year. Line 122 "Payments from Pension Plan" in the Detailed Québec Tax Summary shows exactly double the amount of Box B in the Relevé 2. Even so, the tax payable computed by TurboTax appears to be correct, though it is difficult to be sure. It may be that this is simply a display error in the program and does not affect its results.
As an experiment, we [temporarily] deleted the T4RIF and its associated RL-2 and Line 122 still showed a non-zero value, this time the actual amount withdrawn during the year. But there's no indication as to where (i.e., what form) this figure came from. It looks like the number is "stuck" in TurboTax's database somehow.
TurboTaxLynda's earlier reply is not much help as we are not transferring amounts between spouses. I also don't think it's possible to print the return in PDF form prior to committing it. Finally, if this problem was known to be happening two and a half years ago, why hasn't it been fixed???
