Unused tuition

Tuition credits are non refundable tax credits and are used to reduce any net federal or net provincial tax you may have owing.  If you did not have any income to report or tax paid to report, there wouldn't be any net federal or net provincial tax owing and there wouldn't be anything to generate a refund.

Did you have any income to declare on your income tax return?
