I attended class in Canada last yr, the org. states they are certified in section 118.5 for educational expenses . I live in Indiana, can I deduct this in my US taxes?

I'm living/filing taxes in the US, but took two courses in Canada (paid and located in Canada).  Can I use these registration expenses as a deduction/credit on my 1040?
