Try logging into your online Square account and looking for a security tab. There is often an option to "allow 3rd party access". If you don't find it there, you will want to reach out directly to Square so they can better guide you in allowing TurboTax to have the 3rd party access.
wifi would be the reason it is not connecting. turbo tax does not allow most wifi when using the import function within the turbo tax software. for those who get through easily it's because they just happen to a wifi set up that is not blocking anything. wifi is treated differently by ISP's with more security functions applied and will often affect things like importing using turbo tax.
