I have received a letter from CRA regarding line 33099 of my 2021 tax return. CRA has adjusted my claim for medical expenses for self, spouse and dependent child from $2867.00 to $1643.72. The reason given is to agree with the health premiums indicated on the T4 from the Government of Alberta.
I have been asked to submit documents, if any, related to the changes that CRA made. The letter also states that I need to send a copy of my additional documents and a copy of the documents that Turbo Tax sent before, on my behalf.
Can a Turbo Tax filer get back to me and advise me on the steps that need to be taken, and how this will be done? I did not receive a July 2022 letter asking for this information and so time is of the essence.
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Your response to my question helped a lot. Thank you for your help!
