@James Betton The very kludgy workaround of uninstalling and then reinstalling from https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax/software/download worked for me. If you are worried that uninstalling might delete your tt24 files (it didn't delete mine), then a prudent extra step would be to make a backup of those tt24 files before doing the uninstall. After the update, make sure the About Box shows this version (or later): Version 00.01.62 Build 6007 068G25

Don't be surprised if the uninstal/reinstal doesn't work. It didn't for me! Prime tax season is not the time to introduce buggy updates to "fix" bugs! This is a huge waste of time. Loyal user of turbo tax since its inception and Quick tax before that. I thought nothing would make me change tax softwares. The last two or three years have had various minor issues. This makes me totally reconsider that loyalty now.

Haha, I'm not surprised by anything put out by these guys this tax season! The quality has gone way down since they closed down their Edmonton office in July.

If I have to reinstall do i need to have my serial number? how do i get that back?

Same issue here. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change. I'm unfortunately going to be looking into a different tax program for next tax year (or possibly this one).
@JG-Calgary When I did the uninstall/reinstall this morning, I did was not prompted to re-enter the serial number. But who knows if it will work for you? Your mileage may vary. Anyway, if you bought the boxed version, it will have a serial number in the box. If you bought the non-boxed version, then you should have received an email with a serial number.
