I ask because other tax software such a Simple Tax (by WealthSimple) allow me to use this option today. I love TurboTax but the AFR feature is a huge time saver for me and I don't want to spend the time manually entering Tx information. Please advise. Thank you!.
CRA Auto fill is not ready until the 24th of February, 2025. Not all the slips are reported to CRA yet. That is why AFR feature is not available in TurboTax at this time. A uncomplete import of the information when all the slips are not officially reported to CRA can cause miscalculation.
When I use autofill as late as today (March 25th) I do not get my investment tax slips (mainly TD Direct Inv.), (OAS, CPP, TFSA) only. When I call CRA to see what is going on, phone rings, I get message "press 1 to accept this call". I press one and message says "that is an incorrect response" and then they hang up.
@Billmoses Those slips might not have been reported to CRA yet; that is why you are unable to import them. You can always reach out to your financial institution to get a copy of your T-slips.
