Allowable medical expenses

I am experiencing a problem that came up several times in your forums.  I did NOT enter any medical expenses but a Tax Credit is listed.  I have no idea why and more importantly, I cannot click on the amount to drill down to details of this expense.  There is also no reasonable hints or references to find this information.

I would first like to know where this value is coming from.  I cannot submit illegitimate data to CRA.

more importantly, as a programmer, I believe the user interface needs to be improved to make the summary information traceable back to the original data.

thank you

Before you get rid of the amount, please verify if the amount comes from Box 85 - collective health insurance on a T4 or from 135 on a T4A information slip. For Québec residents, TurboTax will also automatically transfer the previous year RAMQ in your Federal return this year if you used TurboTax last year and you imported your previous year data this year.

If this is not the case, in order to help you with this situation, we believe one of our telephone support agents would be able to help you better as they can view your screen, if necessary, to guide you. To contact us please follow this link: Contact Us

Thank you for your feedback about the user interface needing improvement, we value your opinion and have shared this information with the proper TurboTax team.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
