I amended my 2022 return with a 1099 div that is tax-exempt federally but taxable in California. My California taxable income increased but the amended return shows an additional refund rather than a reduction of the original refund. So the federal refund amount shows $0 as expected since I read on your site that the amended return only shows the change. If that is true, why does my amended California return show a positive amount of $156 (in green font), not a decrease or negative amount as I expected?
