Based in Toronto, working on contract for a company in Vancouver. Want to know the process for filing tax. Do I need GST registration? How can turbotax help me ?

Whether or not you should register for GST depends on a couple of things:

• Are you considered an employee of the company, or are you self-employed/a freelancer (see this CRA page: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/publications/rc4110/employee-sel...)?
• Are you required by the CRA to register (see their website here: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/gst-hst-businesses/when-regis...)?

If you do need to register, then you’ll have to file a GST return that is separate from your personal tax return. TurboTax isn’t able to do those returns, but you can still use it to do your income tax return.
