We have sold a property we resided in 2022,  purchased in 2008. Lived in by owners till 2017 leased till 2022 and sold in 2022.  How and where do I find the forms this years taxes for the capital gains.

You would need to fill out form “T2091IND Designation of a Property as a Principal Residence by an Individual”, as well as the "Principal residence designation" section at the bottom of Schedule 3. If you are using TurboTax CD/Download, you can use the “Find” tool to search for Principal Residence in EasyStep mode, or click the “Forms” icon in the blue menu to search for T2091 and Schedule 3.

We are doing a trial run with 2021 Turbo Tax, as per your instructions.

What exactly is happening?

When all the information is entered on the first form it cannot be save and does not automatically

enter on the T1 tax form. Cant be entered into schedule 3.
