CARE and CWB benefit automatically being applied

I have created 2 profiles to avoid this and it still reduces our refund.  

we are ineligible for the cwb because we make more than the family net and your statement says something along the lines of why not do it, it wont matter on your return, however we go from a 4K refund to a 3k with the Care and then 3k to 1500 when the CWB automatically kicks in. 

what gives?  I’ve had to get money back from the cra before and it took 7 years.  I don’t like cra having to adjust and waiting on them to fix their error. 

why does your program automatically apply this and reduce our refund?

doesn’t seem very trustworthy at this point.
