It works for mine but not the one from my wife. The line 68140 is at 0. It should be the sum of all box 21 from the T3.
As of Monday 24-March the issue is not fixed.
Using standard addition line 68140 should equal the sum of box 21 on all T3s. I does not equal and I cannot file my taxes using Netfile as CRA refused to accept the return.
Looking for Turbo Tax to provide a fix date and to get a support code from Turbo tax.
Add me to the list of people that cannot file due to this error!
20+ year user of TurboTax (and QuickTax before that), and this nonsense is jeopardizing ending that loyalty.
Please fix this issue ASAP and post on this thread when it's done so we can submit our taxes!
Thank you!
If the total taxable capital gain on line 19900 on schedule 3 is positive, the T996 issue goes away and the capital gain on the T3 is shown correctly on line 68140 but if you are reporting net capital loss on schedule 3 line 19900 than the T996 does not pick up the amount of capital gain from the T3 slip. That is the problem in question
T996 or T936?
sorry T936
I think this was a problem. I did a preview and I see it reported now. Now I get the dreaded ...This wasn’t expected, but we’re working on fixing it' error....sigh
Yes exact same issue with mine. TurboTax program is not entering the number from the T3 slip (ie. total of Box 21) into the T936 form. It successfully enters the number into the Schedule 3 but does not enter the same number into the T936 form. (Line 68140 just shows 0.00)
Waiting for a fix. Will try to submit again tomorrow... sheesh.
I am also having this same error just tried to file twice have 5 more attempts before lock out from netfile seeing a comment suggesting it may be fixed MAR 25th end of day so will try tomorrow night again I guess🤷♂️
No, it does not look like a CRA issue.
My return was accepted.
However, for my 'spousal' return, the number on line 68140 of form T936 was in fact a little smaller than the actual total of their T3s, triggering this error message from the CRA.
Netfile will not accept the form with an override with the correct number on the T936.
Please add my email to any list if this gets fixed.
