It's now March 27 and I'm still getting the same error after being locked out of CRA netfile (after moving the amount from box 52 and adding to box 53 - which didn't work). When will this be fixed? I need to netfile because I'm expecting a large refund.
Please escalate the resolution of this. We have been told too much incorrect information from TurboTax staff. Including a promised resolution date of March 25th. It is now March 27th.
Additionally, I do not wish to use any of these fudged solutions posted on this board. I need a real solution now.
If it is a "known error on CRAs end", why does CRA staff say it is TurboTax issue?
@Blue_Knight Try this workaround: enter 100% ownership at the top and then half of all values into boxes for each person. (I also only entered capital gains in box 53, using the same value as line 21, half the total, instead of dividing the time periods.).
Then the values for line 68140 on T936 were correct and agreed with Schedule 3 line 17600, and try to file.
We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working on a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
Tired of waiting for their updates, I switched to FutureTax, submitted the returns successfully.
Sorry. This is unacceptable. We have paid for this service and workarounds, as opposed to a real solution, simply will not do. We need to be as accurate as possible when reporting. I have not, nor ever will enjoy audits. Give us a timeline please so we have an option of asking for a refund or waiting.
@NNZ We understand your frustration. We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working on a resolution. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.
@TurboTaxAniqua Unfortunately this does not work
“enter 100% ownership at the top” Always was at 100% so this is not a change
“then half of all values into boxes for each person” Each person? There’s just me
“Then the values for line 68140 on T936 were correct and agreed with Schedule 3 line 17600” Line 68140 still says zero and does not align with line 17600. Also, line 17,600 is now half of the gain it should be so box 19900 has the incorrect total capital gain listed.
@Blue_Knight Thanks for trying. our development team is working on a resolution. Currently we don't have any ETA. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.
Another day goes by with no fix. Your support pages have nothing regarding this error 95365 so it appears TurboTax is covering up their error. I have sent a private message to TurboTax requesting an update and firm ETA, no response. We need a solution right NOW. No more poorly constructed workarounds that do not work. TurboTax: clean up your act if you wish to keep future customers.
I have lost my patience, you took my money and delayed my refund.
