Could I claim in 2018 the $1,200 of UCC at the end of year from 2014 (T2125, Area A, box 10) that I never claimed in subsequent years 2015 to 2017?

The amount of $1,200 at UCC at the end of the year (box 10, Area A, T2125) from 2014 was not claimed in subsequent years 2015 to 2017. I want to include it for 2018 tax return period. Is it possible?

If you are still using this asset in your business, you can enter the UCC amount from 2014. CCA is an optional deduction, so if you choose not to claim it, that UCC amount will carry forward until you do. You will not be able to deduct the full amount though, you are limited to the percentage available for that particular class.

Example: At the end of 2014 you had Class 8 UCC amount of $2,000, and you have not made a CCA deduction since then. You enter your Class 8 (20%) UCC as $2,000, TurboTax will calculate the available claim as $400. You can still choose the amount you wish to claim, if any.
