TurboTax will complete form T2091 and the portion of Schedule 3 needed to support the sale of your principal residence for you.

Note: If your home was your principal residence for all the years that you owned it, you don't need to report any capital gains and so nothing is entered in section 7 of your Schedule 3. Section 7 of the schedule 3 is only completed if your home wasn't your principal residence for all the years you owned it.

I know this is an older answer

but trying to wrap my brain around this

Do you only check the box at line 17900 on Schedule 3  & not fill in any other information?

What amount to you put on form T2091  under proceeds of disposition??

Thanks for any help
