Dependant son with a part time job while in high school while living at home.

My 17 year old son goes to High School and works part time while living at home with us. He will be filing a return for his income and I am wondering if we can still claim him as a dependant since he still is as such.  If yes, do i need to put his income amount in our return and where?  We currently do not receive any child benefits for our children. Thank you.

Yes, you can still claim your son as a dependant, since you can still claim medical expenses that you paid for him. In the future, you might also be able to claim college/university tuition transferred from him.

In TurboTax Online, you can enter his income and other info by selecting Deductions>Additional Dependant Information, from the left side menu.

In TurboTax CD/Download EasyStep Mode, you can enter his income and other info by selecting Introduction>Dependants, from the left side menu. In Forms Mode, click on the Dependant icon in the blue icon bar.
