After I mailed in my tax payment cheque to the CRA along with my paper return, I realized I'd mistakenly made it out to the Canada Revenue Agency instead of the Receiver General for Canada! Will the tax department still accept my cheque and cash it? If not, will they charge me a fee for handling it? How much? Will they inform me on my assessment if my cheque was unacceptable?
