I can confirm error 95365 error has been resolved. After the update, I deleted my T3's for good measure and re-entered them. When I looked at the pdf of my return, the Box 21 figure was now showing up on line 68140. I successfully filed my return.
@TurboTaxAniqua Please forward our concern that users should get a free voucher for next year, or some sort of compensation/refund for the 3 week delay.
I too was able to file now that error 95365 has finally been fixed.
I concur with your message to @TurboTaxAniqua that users should get some sort of compensation for this gong show!
Thanks Rob it worked for me also. The nightmare is over . Should of never happened!
@viviancheng This issue has been resolved. Please try again after updating the software. We sincerely thank you for your patience during this period.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Today is Thursday April 17, 2025 and I am still getting the same error codes regarding the T3 boxes 52 and 53. I have tried updating the software, entering the numbers multiple times and using the tips that other people said worked for them. Box 21 is $200. Box 52 is $100 and Box 53 is $100. If you enter the number twice in box 52 (Foreign capital gains and Total capital gains your gains will be added twice.) I'm so frustrated. I guess I have to go buy Ufile and start over and never use Turbo Tax again!
Try entering your value in the second box 52 and 53. That will prevent the foreign box 21 from being populated.
Same here, pour service. Dumping the source of error on federal employees. Typical of american disdain for goverment employees.
I had exactly the same problem and this solution worked for me and allowed me to finally NetFile the affected return. This issue affected 3 out of 6 T3 Statements and did result in a change to the bottom line with a reduced refund. I was already uncomfortable with TurboTax insisting on forcing the same value twice in the two T3 box 21 fields Capital Gains and Foreign Capital Gains, which was likely the source of the Errors.
I entered the values in Capital Gains Box 21 and in Capital Gains Boxes 52 & 53 as reported on the T3 Statements. These are large mutual funds that include both Canadian and Global investments anyway.
This issue has been going on for far too long and despite several updates which were all promised to fix this issue since 17 March it was still showing the same two errors today 17 April. The return needed to be filed and there is a large refund involved, so we will trust CRA to verify the results and make any changes - the 3 affected T3 Statements are all on file in My Account.
This is a TurboTax software problem and not a CRA Issue! After 20 years of using QuickTax and TurboTax I plan to use UFile next year for our family member returns.
Worst experience ever and Turbotax add d to the confusion with the error messages.
Turbotax should have acknowledged there was a problem upfront and let users know they wouldnāt be able to complete the process if they had T3 inputs.
Definitely should be a class action lawsuit or voluntary compensation.
Ok folks, forgive me if this has already been talked about, but I didnāt want to sift through all the forum correspondence.
So, I was having trouble with the 95365 error. That is FIXED!
Went to file the return but got the error: ābox 52 plus box 54 and 56 must not be greater than box 52ā. Same message for box 53. āBox 53 plus 55 plus 57 cannot be greater than box 55ā
So I reviewed this information on my T3 slips. All was well. Nearly put my fist through the computer because again it would not allow the Netfile process due to what it considered to be an error. (Even though there wasnāt one in my opinion). Believe me I triple checked the numbers.
Solution: I zeroed out those lines on the T3 slips and then re-entered them. Presto, it was no longer an error and Netfile is complete. This has been the most stressful tax season I have experienced in close to 40 years. If itās like this in the future, I guess I will be paying someone to do my taxes!!
Good luck!!!
