Forms T2091-WS and T2091-IND both needed?

Hello, just trying to understand if both forms T2091-WS and T2091-IND need to be filled when you dispose the primary residence, where you have been living for all the years owned it.

Since T2091-WS is to calculate the reduction as a result of the capital gains election, why would I'd need to fill this form out? I am claiming Designation of a Property as a Principal Residence in T2091-IND and the property designated as primary residency for ALL years I owned this, so I am not a subject for the capital gain in this case. Would it be form T2091-IND is enough to complete?

And if my spouse was not the owner ( only myself was in the purchase contract when we bought the house ) of the house we dispose and declare as principal residence, should she fill these forms as well?

Form T2091-WS is only a worksheet for T2091-IND, so no, it's not necessary if it doesn't apply to you.

If your wife wasn't a owner of the principal residence, then she doesn't need to fill out either form.
