How do i know if my employer is taxing me enough?

If i receive a salary increase, is it my responsibility to tell them to increase the amount taxed? I got a significant amount back last year, but this year, without my rrsp contributions included, I would owe

They will tax your salary based on payroll tables, that increase the amount of taxes as the salary/wage goes up. 

If you want to have additional tax taken off your pay cheque, you change your Federal & Provincial TD1 forms, and fill in the line "Additional tax to be deducted".
