I figured all that out after reading some other posts so the 2024 filing is correct. Unfortunately for 2021, 2022 and 2023 it was not obvious that these check boxes needed to be filled in for the filing to be correct and unlike the 2024 package there was no indication that the boxes were not completed during the review process

I finally received a response from Turbo Tax today.

 

Regarding your Accurate Guarantee Claim#0Xxxxx 

 

  • "Your request under the Accurate Guarantee for reimbursement of interest and/or penalties paid to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for tax year 2021, 2022 and 2023 has been reviewed.

We have determined that TurboTax Desktop met the standards we expect while facilitating the preparation of your tax return, and I am unable to approve your claim for reimbursement."

I’m hoping now that over 100’s of people have come forward we may get a different response after seeing this on Global News last night.  I’ve followed Global news for years and Sean O’Shea gets attention.

Thanks for the updates, I have not received any communication from Turbo Tax as yet but I disagree with their position. Turbo tax failed in their due diligence, they allowed tax returns to be submitted that were inaccurate and without any indication or warning. It was not we who filled in the information on form ON 479-A it was the Turbo Tax program, we simply entered child care expenses in the proper field, and as such it is their responsibility to ensure that at least one of the check boxes required was filled in. They allowed the returns to be processed without that vital information completed.
