I’ve claimed 170 days of working from home due to Covid. That’s $2/day in credits. My refund increased by only ~ $100. Any idea why?

That’s because it’s not a credit, it's a deduction. A deduction reduces your taxable income, it doesn’t add directly to your tax refund.
