I was self-employed for 2020 (recruitment) but earned no income. Because I did not invoice for any recruitment, I was not registered for GST. Do I say I'm selfemployed

If you did not receive any income or t-slips related to your business, and you aren’t continuing with this business, then you don’t need to fill out the Self-Employment section. You won’t be able to claim any expenses from your self-employment, though.

However, if you plan to have an income from your recruitment business in the future, you can start claiming your business start-up costs by filling in the Self-Employed forms.
