import tax data from CRA greyed out 2023 TT

I've just bought and installed TT 2023 (CD version from London Drugs)

The import from CRA option from the file menu in Forms Method is greyed out. I've never seen this in prior years of using TT.

Why is this happening?

Auto-fill my return will be available on February 19, 2024 from the CRA.

Thanks for that, I've never installed TT this early in the year before.

To be clear, are you saying:

(a) that the CRA system and/or data won't be available to allow downloading until this date

(b) that Turbo Tax software will recognize when CRA is ready, either by the date or by communicating with CRA when starting up

(c) combination of (a) and (b)

(d) something else

A & B. No online services (Netfile, Refile, AutoFill) are available from the CRA for 2023 yet. So it's all disabled in TurboTax. A software update will enable everything for the 19th, when CRA opens their services.

It’s Feb 25 and it’s still greyed out!

It should not be greyed out at this time, please try logging into your CRA 'My Account" then click on Auto Fill my Return.

Thanks for reminding me to update this thread. I tried it a couple of days ago and yes, CRA download is now available and working.

It's now March 5 and  the CRA import option is still greyed out for me and I have the latest software update installed.
