Marital Status

I am completely tax return for common law couple.  On Page 1 of both T1s it shows marital status at Dec 31 as common law, it has carried forward spouses income and information on both page 1s as well.  When I review it gives me error that I must confirm marital status and when I select yes living together at Dec 31 it changes refunds.   Why?  If marital status is confirmed already on page one what is it changing?  I talked to an accountant and he said he doesn't have to confirm marital status on his program and I don't remember having to do this on prior years.

called the phone number you gave you don't speak with a live person emailed support issues was of no help at all
