    My husband and I separated in October 2024. Do I change my marital status for my taxes to separated? It is only giving me the option of married or common law.

    My husband and I separated in October 2024. Do I change my marital status for my taxes to separated? It is only giving me the option of married or common law.

    Did you start a joint return? If so, you'll have to restart your return so that you are filing only for yourself. Then you'll get the option for the Separated married status.
