I have twice now requested a refund for the services I got and have had no response for almost a month.
I have moved abroad and found that the specific form I need to fill out to denote my emmigration status could not be handled by most services. Turbotax was able to do it so I used it to file electronically. I had already put together my taxes manually but didn't want to send them physically back to Canada.
Only once I had paid did Turbotax say it was unable to send it electronically due to the specific forms used and had to be printed out and sent physically, essentially rendering the service useless for my intended purposes. It should not have waited until the page AFTER purchase to tell me this.
I have requested a refund twice now and have been ignored. This is incredibly sketchy.
Are you a non-resident? If yes, you can send your file by fax to the CRA: Non-residents: If you are a non-resident or deemed resident filing from outside Canada, you are temporarily allowed to fax your return due to international mail delays.

This in no way addresses the issue I presented. My problem is not that I don't know how to submit my return (was I seriously just told to fax something in 2026?) it's that I was only told I wouldn't be able to file my return electronically as was promised in the service I purchased until the page AFTER I submitted payment.
I had already done my taxes manually, but didn't want to mail them and was merely looking for a way to submit them electronically.
However, my biggest issue is that my two refund requests have been ignored for over a month and the statuses of them just say "Open". Can you follow up on that? Is there any way to contact customer service? Why is the only way to communicate to you through a community forum?
