I have trouble doing the school district portion of my Ohio tax return. It asks if I was not a resident during any part of the year, and I clicked yes since I lived in Indiana the first 6 months of the year and an Ohio school district the last 6 months after I moved. However, when I do this it attempts to refund all of the school district tax I payed for the entire year, including the six months I lived in the school district. This feels wrong? If I uncheck the non-resident box and place my residency dates as 7/1-12/31 then it says I owe an enormous amount of school district tax - which is also wrong.
What do I do in this situation?
