Awesome share @Freddie44 . Thanks for that! That seems to confirm my finding earlier today in this thread that CRA’s validation logic for error 95365 error is flawed. The validation logic is not considering line 17599 but it should be, according to their definition of error 95365. That will obviously affect all tax software. However, TurboTax is even more susceptible to the flaw because it is not correctly splitting capital gains between spouses.
I checked Turbotax this morning, and there was an update. I checked the forms, S3 and T936 and all the capital gains slots were populated correctly. I have not tried netfile yet, I’ll wait for a confirmation on this thread
but it appears to be fixed!
That would be the best news I’ve heard in a while. By chance did you have a capital loss?
I did not have a loss
When I open TurboTax, it says an update available, but when I say YES, nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem?
Same here. Goddamn it. Now they are screwing up the updates. That's the last straw for me.
Same for me. after 27 years.
Same issue after the update.
T936. Line 68140 DO NOT reflect the total of Line 21 of T3s as it should be.
No matter what Intuit saying. this is a software issue.
Now the program won't even start up. You cannot bypass the update, only select Yes, and then nothing happens. How can Intuit be so damned incompetent?
For the price we pay for the Premier version... really annoying.
