I finally solved the problem after three days of frustration. I used another software program and had no problems. Worked perfectly first time. Slamdunk13.
I had those errors that were preventing me from filing. Delete your T3 slips for those cells and then re-input them. That worked for me.
@Iwantthetruth92 As I and others have posted, and as advised by a TurboTax agent, enter your values in "Capital Gains" Box 21, 52, & 53 and don't enter anything as "Foreign Capital Gains". This eliminates the errors and allowed me to NetFile successfully.
This is a TurboTax entry screen software error and no longer a CRA issue. It looks like the forced duplication of the same value in both Capital Gains and Foreign Capital Gains Box 21 is the problem. Not sure why these two sets of boxes exist in TurboTax - There is no such distinction on the T3 Statements posted to My Account. It was my own interpretation of the contents of the investment funds that led me to class some Capital Gains and some Foreign Capital Gains. As well, the drop down box listing source as USA, Other Country #1, Other Country #2 doesn't look right.
Thank you LFG for your reply. For T3 slips that only have numbers for Box 21 inputted but numbers provided for Box 52 or Box 53:
For this error, if your T3 tax slip only has Box 21 but nothing (no $ value) for Box 52 (Before June 25, 2024) and Box 53 (After June 24, 2024), did you go back to Trust who issued to slip to ask if any any value for Box 52 or Box 53 was missing? or just put the value of Box 21 in "Total Capital Gains" in Box 52 or Box 53? Many Thanks.

Thanks CM1965 - strange, I tried deleting entire T3 slip entries and/or deleting the values in Box 21, 52, 53 if any and didn't work for me. You're lucky it worked for you. Thank you for reply, will try again tomorrow and maybe TurboTax will provide another software update.
@Iwantthetruth92 All my T3 Statements with values in Box 21 have values provided for Box 52 & 53, which should total the same as Box 21.
My specific advice is to enter all values for Boxes 21, 52, & 53 in the TurboTax T3 entry form as "Capital Gains". Do not enter any values in the Boxes 21, 52, & 53 labelled as "Foreign Capital Gains". This should eliminate the errors you cite and allow you to NetFile.
The original purpose of Box 52 & 53 was to report Capital Gains before and after 24 June to apply the new tax rate. Although this no longer applies, CRA has apparently insisted that the values still be reported. If you have received a T3 Statement that doesn't show values for box 52 & 53 and TurboTax is giving you an error, just enter the total Capital Gains in Box 53 to balance the equation. Box 52 & 53 no longer have any tax implications for 2024. A huge mess that is affecting thousands of tax payers and which TurboTax is not coping with.
Im also getting the same error. Do we have a fix on this issue?
Very odd how we seem to be having varying outcomes even though we are trying the same things. It was definitely giving me the error at first. I entered the figures as specified on the T-slip with the box numbers they had. Just deleted the original input and then re-input. You may want to delete the problem cells, save the file, exit TT, and then go back in and re-enter them.
I would delete the T3's entirely, save the file. Close and re-open Turbotax. Re-enter the T3's and see if that solves the error.
