The development team is working on it. In the meantime, you can enter the number without the RT, or fill out the ON479 worksheet in Forms mode.
I tried both methods and neither worked using the RT before contacting you. Frankly I'm reluctant to file without the full HST number.
The HST number is only required on the ON479 Worksheet. It is not required to be filed with your return. It is only for your records.
The program won't let me get past the HST number. I cannot even go to another page! It keeps asking "Please enter a numeric value rounded to the nearest whole number".
@ffdan77 Only enter the numbers, not the RT
Just spent an hour on the phone with Turbo Tax support with Zero results. Using last downloaded version of Standard Turbo Tax in Forms method, I cannot enter any data on the ON479 worksheet for Ont staycation. Dates, address, HST # or amounts -,Message is “cannot override” - if I do decide to override then review says not eligible for net file.
Help!
Just omit the letters RT.
Can’t enter ANY data in the form without getting the prompt that you’re over riding a calculated field. Cannot enter the HST field or any other field so cannot “remove the RT”
@B W Are you preparing your return with a spouse? If so, check the other spouse's return. You can only claim the Staycation credit on one spouse's return, so if one spouse already is claiming it, the other spouse's ON479 worksheet will not allow anything to be entered (without an override).
