Hi, my wife & child are not Canadian residents & do not earn where they live, I support both. Spouse SIN does not exist, but still being asked on free Ttax, how to avoid?

You can put your spouse's SIN as 000 000 000. Also, unless you can prove that you supported your spouse (with money transfer, etc…), then it’s best not to take the spousal amount. CRA may require proof and if you cannot provide it, your spousal amount claim will be disallowed.

Can I claim my spouse or common-law partner as a dependant?
