Re: I got Error saying I have not entered the number of years you designated the property(s) as your principal residence.

I am receiving an error message that I must fix the sale of my property.  When I go into the forms I have already entered the information. Why am I getting this message?

Re: I got Error saying I have not entered the number of years you designated the property(s) as your principal residence.

If you are using TurboTax online we suggest deleting the entry in regards to the principal residence and entering it again.

If you are using TurboTax desktop please verify in forms mode the T2091 and verify line 1 and/or 2, the amount of years should show on line 4 as well as 5 and/or 6. If that does not work, we suggest using the EasyStep mode to complete the form under Income and Expenses >> Principal Residence.
