How does that help with the fact that your software is full of bugs?
I find it unbelievable that this has not been resolved, four weeks before the filing deadline.
All you have to do is, roll back the relevant pieces of code to where they were last year.
Doesn't sound like rocket science to me!
Perhaps we should organize a write-in campaign to the CRA to de-certify TT, as they are clearly not up to the job.
Could not agree more! I have been using TurboTax (PREVIOSULY QUICKTAX) for at least 25 years and this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I think embarrassing just does not cut it. Excuse my French, but what the hell are you waiting for?
@SDURSO1951 We are aware of this issue; we are working with the CRA for a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
This is much appreciated. Particularly the ETA (FINALLY).
For what it's worth, I believe that this action should have been taken weeks ago. Intuit can of course run their business any way that they want, establish their own priorities and make the decisions that they deem in the best interest of their business. This is a major issue that caused incorrect tax calculations and the filing of incorrect returns. In my humble opinion, the issue should have been much higher on the list of priorities.
Have never seem tax software with so many bugs. Yesterday I was forced to mail a Quebec Tax Return for 2024 because I was unable to clear a phantom error. Impossible to clear and close FORM TP-80 which was not being used but the fact that it was blank prevented Net Filing of return. Federal equivalent form cleared and closed but QC form would not close no matter what I tried. Correction, I have no idea whether the form closed or not. The only thing I know is that the error persisted and I was not able to file online. This is really exhausting.
I know that the 14th is not over yet but nothing to fix the Capital Gains reporting problem was included in today's update? What gives, is it on it's way or has the goal post been moved again?
@SDURSO1951 This is not a TurboTax issue.
The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA-certified tax software.
TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.
To support taxpayers in navigating these CRA errors, the TurboTax Canada blog is being regularly updated with the latest information on NETFILE error codes, CRA-approved workarounds, and expected resolution dates.
As soon as the issue is resolved, we'll update this thread.
Thank you for your patience and choosing TurboTax.
Not sure how the inability to NETFILE a Quebec return because an unused FORM TP-80 would not close could not be a TurboTax issue? What does CRA have to do with a Quebec form on a Quebec return?
