The Climate Action Incentive (CAI) credit is added automatically when you start your return, if you are in a province that has it. So unless you say that you are not eligible, then it’s already included in your refund amount.

You can review your claim by going back to the CAI page.

  1. Select Find in the upper-right area.
  2. In the Find window, type Provincial tax, then select Provincial Tax Credit Profile from the list of results and click Go.
  3. On the Your Provincial Profile step, make sure the checkbox for Climate Action Incentive (CAI) federal credit available for residents of [province] is checked off.
  4. Click Continue, (answering the questions if you haven’t already done so) until you get to the Good news! This is the total credit you're receiving, page. This will show you the amount of credit you are eligible to receive.
