This worked for me as well! Thanks for posting your solution
just rounding up to integer numbers
Having this problem as well on 2025-03-22 at 13:57.
I flat out refuse to round numbers up as suggested or to merge values from two boxes into a single box. I understand that doing so will make the TurboTax software happy and allow me to file, but it will generate a discrepancy between my submission and the T3s that CRA received from the provider--which sounds like a surefire way to get flagged for an audit.
Remember that TurboTax clearing it's validations isn't the ultimate objective here: the objective is getting a valid return in to the CRA.
(And no, I'm not buying Audit Protection just to protect myself from TT not being able to do decimal math properly.)
All of the above problem still persist as of March 22, 2024.
In addition, it appears that the spousal split (in my case 50/50) is not being calculated.
Is there going to be an end to these problems?
Thank you .... I will be awaiting the resolution. Will we be notified of correction?
Hi there, i don't know how to resolve this error. I have entered all the data correctly. I cannot NETFILE until this error is resolved. Any advice?

I received a message from Intuit TurboTax on Friday, March 21 advising that the Capital Gains forms are ready and I can now file my returns. However, I am STILL getting the error that box 52 & 53 are not equal to box 21. I have checked and double checked the numbers to the original T3 information on the slip and on the CRA website and they most certainly add up to the same dollar amount. Please advise when the Intuit TurboTax glitch is going to be resolved.
I had multiple T3 slips downloaded from CRA and only 1 of them was giving me problems with box 52 and 53 not adding up to box 21, which is strange! However, I read from a previous post that if you round the numbers in boxes 52, 53 and 21 up or down and make all 3 boxes add up to numbers WITHOUT decimals then it fixes the problem. I did that and it worked. Give it a try before printing and mailing it in.
This is not the message I clicked on to reply to, but similar.
My problem (and the one I clicked on) is that box 21 has a value, but boxes 52 and 53 do not, so Turbo won't accept it. I am considering making up numbers that would add up correctly.

Hi Tracy 56
My submitted Netfile was accepted by employing 'my fix.' Have amount in Box 52 the exact same as Box 21 and delete amount in Box 53. No need to worry about this as CRA accepted the submission and besides CRA apparently is not going ahead with the increased Capital Gains inclusion rate. As long as amount in Box 21 is accurate, CRA should not have a problem. If one uses 'my fix' or other user suggested fixes, I would not be wasting time waiting in hopes of Turbotax Canada coming up with their fix and who knows if and when they would do this. Good luck.
