Same problem as referenced by others.
150+ CRA import entries into T5008, manually edited to show capital gain (another nuisance that I deal with every year), and nothing drops down into Schedule 3.
20 days before the filing deadline and having to wait on a possible April 14, 2025 software update that might fix the issue. This is nonsense!
Apart from this issue. My wife and I shared capital gain by 50/50, I have to manually enter 50% for each item. And unfortunately, I have over 200 items. I have called you guys since 2022 and I could not see any solution for this.
My suggestion is to make one button to apply all items to the same percentage split, like 50% for each.
@jason Qi I have passed on your suggestion to our product development team. Thank you for your input.
Is there an update? I don't have a lot of lines of data but NONE of them are flowing through to schedule 3. And yes, I have manually inputted the dates.
@WWS1 The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA-certified tax software across Canada.
TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.
If you see one of these error codes, please visit What does my NETFILE error code mean and how do I fix it?

There is an update before I start Turbo Tax. However, after I updated and started it. It solved nothing related to this issue. I meant the T5008 numbers did not pass to Schedule 3. Do I miss anything ?
You have to put in a date of 01/01/2024 and choose capital gains from the drop down on the T5008 form and they will roll into Schedule 3.
But they still won’t roll into T936, which will prevent you from filing via NETFILE.
Having same issue. I was trying to divide the capital gains from our joint investment account 50/50 between my husband and I and without a date nothing happens. 92 entries came down from CRA and after reading comments below I am going to have to try entering Jan. 1, 2024 in all 92 of them. Not cool!!!!
Turbotax, this needs to be fixed!!
Can't wait anymore, manually entered over 200 date/50%/Capital gain. We should get refund for this expensive and nonfunctional software
We understand that this is not ideal, but you can also combine them and keep track of your T5008 on a spreadsheet for your records.
As per CRA ; February 14, 2025 - Auto-fill my return
While the proposed effective date for the increase to the capital gains inclusion rate has been deferred to January 1, 2026, the CRA is maintaining capital disposition reporting for period 1 (dispositions that occurred before June 25, 2024) and period 2 (dispositions that occurred on or after June 25, 2024). This applies to both the T1 and T3 income tax returns. Period 1 and period 2 reporting is being maintained to ensure continued alignment with the tax slips that have already been published and are currently being issued to Canadians and filed with the CRA. As well, the proposed increase to the lifetime capital gains exemption applies starting with the capital dispositions in period 2 of qualified farm or fishing property and qualified small business corporation shares.
Note: Auto-fill my return service will not deliver box 14 of the T5008, Statement of Securities Transactions, which is relevant for period 1 and period 2 reporting of capital dispositions, and boxes 270 to 273 on the T5013, Statement of Partnership Income. Please ensure that all proper fields on the return are filled in correctly, including information not delivered by the Auto-fill my return service, and that the information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
