Using Intuit TurboTax Standard 2024 - 8 Returns - English - Windows [Digital Download]
Using software to complete joint return
1. T4RIF - My wife's RIF income shows up on line 11500 instead of 13000? When I double click on the line it takes me to T4A which is a complete blank
2. Using T3 Capital gains it will not split to spouse, other words it does not show that she has any capital gains. Tried putting it on my wife's T3 and checking if it would split , still no luck
Make sure the amount entered of the TRIF form is on box 16 or 22. This amount is included on line 13000 of the T1 and is also shown on the detailed income and deductions schedule. Line 11500 – Other pensions and superannuation. Report any other pensions and superannuation you received as shown on the back of your information slips. Payments from a pension or superannuation plan are usually shown on a T4A slip or T3 slip.
Schedule 3 is still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax for an accurate calculations.
We appreciate your patience.
Thanks for choosing TurboTax.
All amounts are entered into the correct boxes on the T4RIF. For some reason the number from the T4RIF is transferred to line 11500 instead of 13000 on T1 General. I do not have a T4A so no numbers are entered. So the question remains why does the income from the T4RIF transfer to 11500 when it should go to 13000?
Note my T4RIF income goes to the correct line 13000 on my T1 General.
Can you please confirm? You first said that T4RIF entered was transferred to line 11500 instead of 13000 on T1 General. Then you noted that T4RIF income goes to the correct line 1300 on your T1 General.
It is a joint return. My RIF went to the correct line 13000, my wife’s went to 11500. Should go to 11500 as well
@pcurtis we have checked it on my end and it is populating on the right lines. Please make sure that software is up -to date and you are entering the information in correct boxes. If issue persists we suggest you to contact our Product support team.
Where are things at with the remediation on the issues identified. I am encountering the same issues. I have a T3 which will not split on a 50/50 basis with my spousal return. The T3 shows 100% on my return and then doesn't transfer the capital gains correctly to the T936, showing no amounts all. The moderator comments from 3 weeks ago show a lock by CRA is the issue. ????? Is this is even being addressed? What is an ETA on a resolution?
@DarinF The T3 split should be resolved. Please try updating your software. If the update doesn't work, please try uninstalling & reinstalling the program using the download from our website. It will not delete any of your saved returns.
My software did update yesterday, which solved the issue of the T3 not splitting properly. I still have the problem of the flow from the input of the capital gain from the T3 to the T936. Overall I have a net capital loss for the year. This is a problem when attempting to Netfile as I continue to get an ERROR code 95365 and a rejection of my return for filing.
