T1 General Line 41700 (Line 136) calculation wrong. It should be the result of Line 131 - Line 135. But it did it wrong.

Line 41700 does not deduct political contribution credit.

Hello @stephen4au

Since I don't have all the details of your tax return, it is hard to say, but I am suspecting that the amount calculated at line 41700 is different because Alternative Minimum Tax from form T691 applies to your situation.  Please review the details of that form (T691).

You are correct.  I figured that out later by redoing everything use the Easy Step.  However, I thought double clicking the result of 41700 (green) should give me the calculation form.  Instead, double clicking the result of 41700 go to a RESP earning withdrawal form.

This jump link will be changed in our next release in May. Instead of being redirected on form T1172 you will now be redirected to form T691.

Thank you,
